Cyclone Tube

The cyclone tube is a special plastic tube that recreates the fantastic effect of a vortex. The water traveling through the tube builds kinetic energy as air transfers from the lower bottle through the hollow swirling funnel above. The small initial swirling of the top bottle causes a chain reaction of increasing rotational velocity, which propels the water molecules closer and closer. An excellent demonstration model or fun economical science toy.
