Collector Series tin toys are inspired by the toys from the past. These toys are made today using the same time-honored techniques that were employed by the toy makers of a bygone era. Each toy starts as a flat sheet of metal which is printed and cut into many separate pieces. Each piece is then formed into its final shape by passing through numerous tooling stations until its final shape is achieved. These separate pieces are then hand assembled to create a single finished tin toy. 34 different pieces are used in this tin toy’s construction. Because this is such a labor intensive process, it is easy to see why tin toy production was quickly abandoned when plastic molding was developed. Now, these tin toys are sought after by collectors around the world. This terrific Tin Rocket Racer is a blast from the past with it’s retro tin design. Bringing nostalgia to all, this rocket makes engine noises when sliding it across a surface. Get one today as a birthday or holiday gift for your favorite toy collector. Help fuel a new collection or even add value to your very own set of tin toys!

Size of actual racer is approximately 7.5 inches x 2.75 inches x 2.75 inches.

Note: This is intended to be a collectible item. Not intended as a children's toy.
