Each of these 20 marbles has a magnet inside. There are countless experiments one can do, from stringing them together to building 3D structures. It is actually harder than it looks since one has to account for a complex 3D interaction of magnetic fields. Great fun! ... but the magnets are pretty weak. We used these for magnetic painting and if the paint was a little think the magnetism wasn't strong enough to move the paperclip we were dragging. Still fun for showing the basics of magnetism though
