Ammonites are arguably the most widely known fossil, possessing a ribbed spiral-form shell. They belong to a group of predators known as cephalopods, which includes living relatives such as the octopus, squid, cuttlefish and nautilus. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. Now you can have your very own ammonite fossil for your desk or for an amazing gift to give your child. Who knows, maybe they’ll become interested in becoming an archeologist or paleontologist someday through this gift!

Features:

  • Real fossil of an extinct creature millions of years old
  • Relic of the era of the dinosaurs!
  • Great conversation piece or desk decoration
  • Stimulate kids' interest in paleontology

Note: Please be aware that this is a natural mineral and as such each piece is one of a kind! The one you receive may not be exactly the same as the ones pictured but it will be similar. Price is per each piece. They come in irregular shapes, sizes and weights.

Recommended for ages 10 and older.
