The fourth graders in our school used these as a culminating activity after visiting Education Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The students had fun discussing how far they thought the cars would travel. This figure undoubtedly was adjusted after a few runs. We also discussed what caused the movement and if there were ways to created changes to what the car did.
