You can use it for for a variety of applications (demonstrations, biomedical instrumentation, microscopy, and more). Recommended as a neat stocking stuffer or for use in a science fair project on optics.

Hoping it works for reason I bought it Lela from Texas
I bought this laser pointer in hopes that it will highlight the limbs I need cut in my trees. It's hard to describe certain limbs that are way up high in a tree.
Inexpensive cat toy Gary from US, Salt Lake City, Utah
I wanted something besides red and thats what I got. A reasonable price and quick service
Purple Mark from Los Angeles, CA
solid feel, bright output, clearly Purple
Purple Laser Pointer Thomas Murray from USA, Pueblo, CO
The only presenter with a purple LP Josie from USA, California, Los Angeles
I got this for scientific presentations after I saw someone with a purple laser pointer. It's a small thing, but really makes you stand out when you're one in a bunch of speakers at a conference. This laser pointer is great--strong beam and doesn't get lost at a distance. Definitely recommend!
Outstanding product Michael Rathbun from USA, WA, Redmond
This item is well constructed, durable and has a high output -- when directed at some fluorescent objects, the visible light generated can be quite startling. The usual laser safety precautions are certainly to be observed.
Very Bright Elizabeth from Raleigh, NC
The brightest, most noticeable laser I've ever seen
Great Purple Laser Pointer Marc from Raymond, NH
This Laser pointer is brighter and has a larger spot size that one that I bought that was much more expensive.
Purple Laser Pointer Tony from Planet Earth
It is GROOVY! I love it.
Weakest beam I have ever owned. Bob from Brooklyn, NY
I've owned a number of laser pointers in different diode colors and configurations, and this one has the weakest beam I have ever seen.
I'm QUITE disappointed....
This laser pointer has the same power as all other laser pointers (about 5mW) however it does seem weaker because human eye is not as sensitive to purple color (it is most sensitive to green). Amazing Purple Laser Ken from Middle of Missouri
Yes, it projects a fairly blue/purple beam at whatever you decide to aim it at. Cats are not impressed (stick with red for them). It is well made and appears substantial.
