I used this to find the north /south of unmarked therapy magnets. Very small and easy to store when not inuse.
1 customer reviewsThis simple and affordable tool will allow you to reveal the inner workings of a magnet by demonstrating the characteristics and properties of invisible exterior magnetic fields. The small magnet within is painted blue and red to denote opposite poles, and swivels in all directions, making it a kind of three-dimensional compass. Place the magnetic pole finder near any magnet or lodestone and it tilts and orientates itself to clearly show the strength, direction and position of the magnetic flux anywhere around the subject specimen. This is a really cool way to see and understand three-dimensional magnetic field patterns. Indispensible for the science classroom.
