These single AA battery holders are modular and stackable. You can use them individually or connect them end-to-end to form a chain series connection (to get 1.5V or 3V, or 6V, etc.) They can also be combined in a solid block sideways (however, the parallel connection is not automatic - you will need to connect it with banana or alligator clips and cable.)
The red and black terminals have a coil spring base that is great for easy connection to bare wire, or you can use a standard banana cable.
Great for science fair projects, hobby electronics projects, or classroom use.
