How It Works

The T-Rex head is a stack of numbered cardboard cross-sections. You work through them in sequence, threading each onto wood connector rods that run through the sculpture like a spine. As you add each layer, the flat profiles build outward into a full three-dimensional head — the snarling snout, the rows of teeth, the deep-set eyes and textured brow all emerging slice by slice.

Because the assembly is sequential and self-guiding, you always know what comes next, and the finished sculpture holds its shape firmly without any adhesive. When you're done, you've got a free-standing showpiece ready to command a shelf, desk, or mantel.
