This rock is definitely one to add to your collection. A mineral with little occurrence in nature, it formerly was mined only in the Ural Mountains of Russia. Now, it is mined in Colorado, Brazil, Italy and Canada. There have been findings of articles of amazonite from as long ago as ancient Egypt. Considered a “soft stone”, this is a great stone for a science project or to add to a home or classroom collection.

Please be aware that this is a natural mineral and as such each piece is one of a kind! The one you receive may not be exactly the same as the ones pictured but it will be similar.  Price is per each piece. They come in irregular shapes, sizes and weights. Photo shows three pieces for demonstration purposes only.
