This 1 inch diameter ceramic disc magnet is made of strontium ferrite. It is a classic low-cost magnet for demonstration and experimentation. Note that these are multi-pole disc magnets, which means that their north and south poles are angularly mixed. These will not repel each other--rather, they will almost always be attracted to each other and to other iron objects. Get a few of these for your next science fair project.
