The lamp board is a device for showing the effect of different kinds of series, parallel, and series-parallel circuit hook-ups via the brightness of light bulbs acting as resistances. The board’s convenient strap-connectors allow a combination of two to five lights in series-parallel mixes. By using the lamp board alone, the user can optically see how electrical energy is being distributed due to a particular hookup. By using electrical meters, it is possible to make quantitative measurements of the distribution of energy, but such measurements are only recommended for advanced students. Included with this useful kit are seven light bulbs (five for the board, two extras. The lamp board is an excellent resource for teachers and students.

Features:

  • Demonstrates the principles of series and parallel ciruits that are used in electricity
  • Also explains principles of electrical and current flow
  • Lamp board with five E10 light bulb holders and many different circuit possibilities
  • Seven light bulbs
  • Great for experiments, classrooms, teachers, and students

nice set up for pairs and group work, saves time with lamps mounted on boards.
4 star rating  Exactly as I expected
George M. Caplan from Wellesley, MA, USA
This board is exactly as I expected. When I buy boards like these, I always modify them by adding banana jacks and removing the "swinging strap connectors". Then, the board is more reliable and students can wire up *any* circuit I request. This review seems not to allow for attachments, but I will try to send a photo of the modified board later.
