Solar Rover 4M Kit

Why is solar energy important?  It is not only essential for plant life on Earth to grow--it also is being increasingly used as an alternative energy source for a wide variety of industrial applications.  This solar rover kit is an excellent way to teach your students about the science behind solar energy. Recycle a soda can to form the body of the rover, and after finishing building the kit, simply place the rover outdoors on a sunny day and watch it zip along.  No batteries are required--simple access to sunlight will get the rover moving.  Excellent for use as a science project or for demonstration of solar energy in the classroom setting.
