Perfect size for portability and ideal function with my normal size (6" bottom) cooking pots. Also wonderful that it is only 1000 watts. Of particular interest and function for my needs is that it can be set low enough in temperature to allow a very low boil or lower yet for just warming. Others can't go low enough in temperature for me. The highest temperature setting is plenty high enough to "roar" (temperature wise, not audibly). It deserves all 5 stars.
