The Triceratops, with its three sharp horns, might seem at first glance a fearsome foe for any of its fellow dinos to encounter, but you may be suprised to learn that this creature has mild manners towards other dinosaurs, to the point that the Tyrannosaurus Rex, unafraid of Triceratops' horns and bony frill, may have considered it prey. It is less clear, however, that it regularly did battle with T-Rex, contrary to what some skeleton models at natural history museums may suggest. The Triceratops was in fact an herbivore, and the horns, frightening in appearance may actually have been used for attempting to attract mates. It's even possible that they could have been lovely (albiet very large) pets! While they went extinct along with the rest at the close of the Cretaceous, you can still take one home today with this kit!
