A smaller and safer version of the famous Tesla coil. This low powered Tesla coil is safe to touch on the base or cylinder - DO NOT touch the discharge wire at the top or you will be shocked - while also still able to visually demonstrate how electrical resonant transformer circuits create alternating-current electricity. When fluorescent light bulbs are close to the coil, the alternating current travels through the bulb and activates the electrons inside, causing the bulb to glow.
