They often will run from danger or remain still in front of perceived predators. However, the stings of some scorpions can be dangerous to humans. The androctonus australis, or yellow-tailed scorpion of North Africa, and the leiurus quinquestriatus, or deathstalker scorpion, are examples of scorpions that should DEFINITELY be avoided.
